Lake Belton 13 April 2025

Lake Belton was the site of our 5th and Final Qualifying Event of the 2024-2025 season. 56 teams hit the water looking for 5 of the right bites. The lake was 2.97 feet low with a water temperature of 72 degrees. A warm morning and light breeze greeted the anglers, switching to winds reaching 20 mph out of the south by mid-day, truly provided a new challenge for these young anglers.

1st Place.
Dylan Kimbell and Ronald Wilcher of the Midlothian Fishing Team, with a total weight of 14.41 lbs. The anglers were awarded 1st Place Trophies, a share of $500.00 in Scholarship Money and Abu Garcia Max X Reels.

 
2nd Place.
Christopher Ehlers and Bruce Ehlers Jr of the Riesel Indian Fishing Team, with a total weight of 11.56 lbs. The anglers were awarded 2nd Place Trophies, a share of $400.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Max X Reels.

 
3rd Place.
Winston Suchomel and Colby McAnulty of the Thorndale HS Fishing Team, with a total weight of 11.43 lbs. The anglers were awarded 3rd Place Trophies, a share of $300.00 in Scholarship Money, and Abu Garcia Max X Reels.

 
4th Place.
Lily Bennett and Cam Eaton of the Texas Boat World Fishing Team, with a total weight of 11.12 lbs. The anglers were awarded 4th Place Trophies, a share of $200.00 in Scholarship Money and Berkley Lighting Rods.

 
5th Place.
Trent Gallaway and Grant Cushman of the Belton HS Fishing Team, with a total weight of 10.79 lbs. The anglers were awarded Abu Garcia Jordan Lee Rod and Reel Combos.

Kasey Boatright and Gage Salinas of the Liberty Hill Fishing Team, with a total weight of 10.49 lbs. The anglers were awarded Abu Garcia Max X Reels.

Fisher Lenart and Jaxon Matula of the Abbott Anglers Fishing Team, with a total weight of 10.49 lbs. The anglers were awarded Berkley Lighting Rods.

 
Big Bass Award.
Ronald Wilcher of the Midlothian HS Fishing Team with a nice 6.74 lbs. Largemouth.
He was awarded an Abu Garcia Vengeance Rod.

 
The Top Junior Team Award.
Brayden Martinez and Royce Rodriguez of the Granger Lion Fishing Team with a total weight of 9.53 lbs. The anglers were awarded a share of $200.00 in Scholarship Money and Berkley Lighting Rods.
